It is continuously frustrating to me to see the arrogant dismissiveness which people in charge of such technical groups display towards the real world usage of their systems. It's some classic ivory tower "we know better than you" stuff, and it needs to stop. In the real world, things are messy and don't conform to the tidy ideas that the Chrome team at Google has. But there's nothing forcing them to wake up and face reality, so they keep making things harder and harder for the rest of us in their pursuit of dogmatic goals.

An example of that was the dismissal of privacy concerns by the committee with using MAC addresses in ipv6 addresses.
